  • Product Description
  • Application

Applicable materials: Primarily used for transparent PC (polycarbonate) plastic raw materials, also compatible with PC recycled materials and runner materials (demonstrating significant toughness-repair effects on both regrind and runner materials).

Core application: Toughening and modifying PC plastic to enhance its impact resistance and flexibility, making it suitable for producing PC transparent sheets, lampshades, containers, automotive components, and other products. Additionally, it improves the processing flowability of PC plastic, catering to standard modification requirements.

Processing technology: Compatible with mainstream PC processing methods such as injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, and pelletizing—no need to adjust the core parameters of your existing production line.

    Performance

Toughened and Highly Efficient: Adding just 2%–4% significantly boosts the impact strength of PC plastic by more than 20%, while also enhancing the toughness of sprue/ recycled materials by over 50%. Additionally, it optimizes the flowability, softness, and toughness of PC material, effectively addressing the issue of brittleness and cracking.

Transparent Retention: The product is a colorless, transparent granule free of impurities and sediment. After addition, it does not affect the original transparency or color of PC products, making it ideal for manufacturing clear PC items.

Auxiliary optimization: Enables adhesion of toner particles, ensuring more uniform coloring while reducing the amount of dispersants or spreading oils used, thereby lowering processing costs.

Cost-friendly: Uses extremely small amounts (only 20–40 grams are needed per 1 kg of PC material), while also boosting the utilization rate of recycled and runner materials, helping to further control raw material costs.

    Other features

Highly compatible: It blends well with PC raw materials, recycled materials, and sprue materials without layering or compatibility issues, and does not conflict with conventional processing aids.

Simple operation: No complicated pre-processing required—just integrate seamlessly into your existing mixing process. It demands minimal operational skills and is easy to learn!

Environmental Adaptability: In rainy and humid weather, you can flexibly choose either "bake the material first, then add the agent," or "add the agent first, then bake the material," ensuring a consistent toughening effect.

Usage restrictions: Do not mix with chemical reagents such as white mineral oil to avoid compromising effectiveness.

    Usage and Dosage

    1. Dosage

Conventional toughening: 2%-4% (add 20-40 grams to 1 kg of PC raw material). It is recommended to use 2% of regular-grade material and 4% of recycled or runner material.

Sample requirement: A 25KG PC material sample is required (small-batch samples of just a few KG may lead to inaccurate data). Confirm compatibility before proceeding with bulk usage.

    2. Instructions for Use

Mixing: Add the HD-J863 toughener together with PC raw material, recycled material, and runner material into the mixer, and blend for 15–20 minutes until thoroughly uniform.

Reaction: After mixing thoroughly, transfer to a material bag or store in the mixing bucket. Allow 45–60 minutes for complete chemical reaction; if clumps form, gently break them apart by tapping or stirring.

Processing: After heating the material according to the standard procedure, proceed with extrusion, injection molding, or blow molding. On damp and rainy days, it is recommended to first bake the material to remove moisture before adding a toughening agent.

Testing: Toughness (impact resistance) testing can be conducted 24 hours after the product has been formed.

    3. Notes to Consider

After use, clean contact equipment (such as mixers, hoppers) with dishwashing detergent to prevent residues from affecting subsequent material processing.

If accidentally splashed into the eyes, immediately rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical attention if necessary.

    Packaging

Use moisture-proof and contamination-resistant packaging (paper-plastic bags or cartons), with each bag/item weighing 25KG net, suitable for logistics transportation and workshop storage.

    Storage Method and Best-Before Date

Storage instructions: Store in a ventilated, cool, and dry place, avoiding direct sunlight, humid environments, and external contamination. After opening, ensure the container is tightly sealed to minimize exposure to air.

Shelf life under unopened conditions: 2 years; once opened, it is recommended to use within 3 months to prevent performance degradation.
